Every three years Hardware Australia reviews its service provider and services offered. This ensures that as the industry’s peak body, Hardware Australia continues to provide its members with the highest possible level of support. This includes services, training, industry specific knowledge and a deep understanding of an ever changing market place. As a result of this review Hardware Australia is pleased to announce a new strategic partnership with TABMA Australia.
Hardware Australia would like to thank the National Retail Association for providing valuable services over the past three years and we are sure that the NRA will continue to be a strong voice for the broader retail industry.
TABMA (Timber and Building Materials Association Aust (Ltd)) is a member based industry association representing timber and building materials merchants and suppliers, timber importers, fabricators and service providers.
Their four key business segments include TABMA Association (membership services), TABMA Apprentices & Trainees (Group Training Organisation), TABMA Training (Registered Training Organisation) and Building Trade Credit Australia (assist members and non-members to make better decisions about who they supply credit to).
Hardware Australia has already collaborated with TABMA on projects including the development of Certificate III in Hardware (Retail) and most recently joining to help secure government funding in South Australia for Training. TABMA has also been a keen supporter of the Independent Hardware Industry through sponsorship of key events.
Ian Cornwell, Hardware Australia’s Chair said “With so many common interests, it made sense for both organisations to unite. I believe this will only strengthen our voice with government bodies and provide greater value to our members. We are pleased that Natalie Scott, who many of you already know, will continue her role with Hardware Australia”.
David Little, TABMA’s Acting CEO said “this is an exciting time for the independent hardware and timber industry as we join forces to provide even better support and services to the industry”.
Whilst this change has taken place please rest assure this will not affect your membership. All services will still be available to you and our commitment to protect, promote and support the independent hardware industry remains the same.
