Industry Rising Star
Established in 2016 Industry Rising Star program aims to support the future leaders of our industry by mentoring and guiding young people through the many career pathways the industry offers.
Open to individuals under the age of 30, the program recognises the excellence and achievements of the industry’s future managers and leaders.
What Makes a Rising Star?
Our industry rising stars are the best and brightest youth in the industry, they demonstrate passion, potential, and future promise in the hardware industry.
How do I become a Rising Star?
Individuals must be under the age of 30 and have been involved in the hardware industry for a minimum of 12 months prior to their nomination. They can be nominated by their managers or industry leaders, with the award open to employees in both the retail and supplier network.

What is the judging process?
Nominees undergo a telephone interview to ensure they meet the criteria before a final interview is conducted with a state panel who decides on the winner.
A winner is awarded in each state. All winners receive a 12 month mentorship which commences during hardware week (normally in March of the following year).
During Hardware week, the Rising Stars participate in leadership and management training, meet one on one with their industry mentors to set career goals, undertake industry tours and attend a national luncheon where they have an opportunity to mingle with the industries leaders.
